This Summer was my first opportunity to use management skills outside of an academic setting. This season was unique because it was based upon the set of Ragtime originally produced at Flint Repertory Theatre in Flint, Michigan for its 2023 season. Pieces of the Ragtime set were transformed for Ride The Cyclone by scenic designer Jason Simms, and afterwards, returned to its original state. Both shows were built by a team of one, over 2 weeks, with a 1,500 dollar budget. I received half of the props from the original Flint production, and re-sourced and rebuilt items that had been rented, paper props, and all additions.
